We went to AZ for Thanksgiving and stayed with my sister Kim! It was tonz of fun and of course a AZ trip would not be complete if we didn't see Adysen! They came to hang out with us at Kim's house for a little bit!

On Saturday we went to the Zoo with some friends, the Brimley's. It was lots of fun! It was fun to watch Shanté get excited about all the animals! I think her favorite part was the train ride and the carousel though! It was a fun family day!!!!

Well this last week we found out that we are expecting baby #3! It took a couple days for the shock to ware off but we are excited! Definitely didn't expect it since Layla is only 5 months old. We are already trying to plan for a bigger family and got a minivan. I never wanted a minivan, I always hoped I would get a suburban. But since a minivan is cheaper thats what we got. I do love it though and its red! Love Red! Shanté is so excited for another baby. She likes to tell everyone that mommy is having a baby boy, I hope she's right! We are hoping for a boy but of course will be ok with a girl too!

This last Saturday we up and decided to go to SLC! We knew Shanté would love to ride Trax cause she loves trains! She had a blast! When we got there we went to the Gateway Mall and ate lunch at the food court then let Shanté play in the water. We then rode Trax back to the library. After playing there for a bit we headed back to Provo. It was a fun family day!!!

This morning was a 5K for my cousin Wendy and her baby Maylee! It was a fundraiser to help out Denny and the kids! It was so amazing to see how many people showed up to support Denny! I must admit that the 5K kicked my butt, but I needed it! It was nice to see family and to be there for Denny, Wendy and the kids! We love you Wendy and Maylee and you are very much missed!

Right before the 5K! I did walk it and I was still so freakin tired! It was mostly uphill!

Its so crazy when I put Shanté's old clothes on Layla! I'm glad I have another baby that I can dress up in my favie outfits of Shanté's!

So one of Jordan's families traditions is they go to fox field and eat dinner, play games, and just hang out before the Stadium of Fire fireworks start! It was so stinkin hot! It was lots of fun though!

Jordan Graduates!! I'm so proud of Jordan! He is officially done with school! Only a week after graduation he has had two job offers that are both great! He worked so hard and now it is paying off! Love you babe!

Jordan's boss had a start of the Summer party and it was lots of fun! He got face painters, balloon makers, cotton candy machine, snow cone machine, 5 bounce houses, a rock climbing wall, and also had J-Dogs for lunch! It was lots of fun and Shanté had the best time ever! It was fun watching her run around!

She kept so still to get her face painted! She doesn't hold that still when I do her hair!

Easter weekend was a blast! Friday night we were at Papa and Nana's decorating Easter eggs and Shanté loved it. Saturday we went to Papa and Granny's for the Jones' Easter egg hunt! Shanté was fun to watch get the eggs! Sunday morning the Easter bunny came over at Papa and Nana's and brought us more eggs and Easter baskets! I love that Shanté is old enough now to start understanding holiday's and gets all excited! It was a fun weekend with family!

Today my baby girl turned 2! I can't believe how time flies! We started the day with breakfast in bed and watched Toy Story 3. Jordan came home from work for lunch so we went to Carl's Jr so she could play. After lunch we took her bowling for the first time. She had so much fun! After bowling it was nap time so we went home to relax. For dinner we went to Jordan's parents for dinner and presents and cake. Shanté got to pick what she wanted for dinner and she chose pizza. After dinner she opened presents and got all excited about every gift. Cake was awesome and she was funny to watch and try to blow out her candle. All in all it was a fun day and she had so much fun! I'm so grateful to have her in our family. She is so fun and energetic and is a awesome big sister to Layla! We love you so much Té Té!

So Jordan turned 23 on April 2nd! We had a good time celebrating his birthday Monday night with all his friends and watched the NCAA championship! I had fun pictures to post but they didn't transfer from my camera like I thought they did and got deleted! Very upset about that!

I'm so excited Jordan was born 23 years ago cause I couldn't imagine my life without him! He is such an amazing father and husband! Happy Birthday to my Giant!!!

Our second little girl is finally here. We're so excited to have her here, and have already fallen completely in love with her. It was an eventful journey to get her here, though.

After a visit to the hospital on Sunday the 6th with regular contractions, we were sent home to wait for another day. Ruthy had been having lot's of contractions, but not enough change to make anything happen. Her Dr. appointment on Monday showed no further progress either, and we were beginning to wonder what was taking her so long! Turns out she had other plans for her arrival. Stubborn kid.

Friday evening came, and Ruthy's contractions had again been consistent and painful for several hours, so we made another trek to Labor & Delivery. They kept us for an hour, and still no change from where she was at previously, three centimeters. Feeling deflated, we headed home to catch up on some sleep. As we were leaving the hospital, driving home and as we relaxed for a few minutes at home, her contractions began to get very strong and close together. I immediately felt that we should head right back to the hospital, but she wasn't immediately on board for fear of being sent home again. After some convincing, and a few more painful contractions, we were headed right back to where we had just been sent home from. Luckily, my sister Shally had spent the night at our house to be there with Shanté.

So, we got to the hospital and Ruthy was content to lounge in the car for a little while to see if the contractions would subside. Of course, with each more painful contraction I began to get more and more nervous. Finally she agreed to go back inside and get checked out. We walked in, she got changed, got checked, and just like that, she had dilated to a five. They immediately admitted her, and within the half hour, she had the epidural. Feeling no pain, and realizing that Layla would soon be joining us, we were both on top of the world. Things progressed quickly from there and soon it was time to push. All it took was a few well-timed pushes, and she was out. She was born at 4:10 am on Friday, March 11th , 2011. She weighed 7 lbs 10 ozs and was 21 inches long. One inch longer than her sister Shanté when she was born. Bragging rights.

Things have been going great since. We are now at home, and Mommy and Layla are both doing great, despite being a little behind on sleep still. We're trying to wrap our minds around having two children, Shanté is excited about finding little ways to help with the baby, and we're all just excited to have eachother, and have a wonderful new addition to our little family.

Also, Layla will share a birthday with her cousin, Caden Gary Mack, born to Jared and Janelle Mack on the 11th as well. We think that will be really fun for them as they get older! Layla was an inch taller at birth...so we'll have to wait and see how things shake out, size-wise.

We're so grateful to all of the family and friends who have helped out and come to visit over the last few days. Especially my parents and family, Ruthy's brother Levi and his wife Sarah, and my friends and extended family who have stopped by. Now, time for some photos.

So I started potty training Shanté on Tuesday and it is now Sunday and she is officially potty trained! I thought I was going to go insane the first couple of days but I stuck with it and now she is a big girl! I can't believe it! I'm so excited for Layla to be here but I'm a little sad that my once baby girl is now a big girl! Time has gone by so fast! I can't believe Shanté is already 22 months old! She is potty trained, sleeps in a toddler bed, talks and talks and sometimes we can't get her to shut-up! I miss my baby girl! Good thing we have another baby girl coming in only a couple weeks!Such a cute baby!

Well now that Shanté is in her big girl bed its easier for her to get up and get into stuff once she's done napping. Yesterday when I heard she was awake I went up to get her and I found her getting into some of my craft stuff and got paint all over! Luckily it was mostly on her and nothing else! I guess its time to rearrange things in her room!

Potty Training

We are getting so close for Shanté to be potty trained! She always tells us she has to poop so I put her on the toilet and she won't go. As soon as she gets off and I put a diaper on her she goes. We got her some big girl panties for Christmas and she loves to wear them so hopefully it will be any day now that she will be poopin in the toilet!

I told her she could have a cookie if she pooped in the toilet and she didn't want to wait till she was done so she is eating it while trying to poop! LOL!

Oh my goodness this Christmas was so much fun and Santa hooked us up good! Shanté was so excited for Santa to come! Its so much more fun opening presents when you have kids and get to watch them get all excited about every gift. After she opened a couple gifts that were toys she decided she didn't want to open anymore and just wanted to play with the new toys. So cute!

Christmas Eve we were at Jordan's parents house and got to open some presents from friends and also some PJs and a book. Shanté got new Elmo PJs and she looked so cute in them and loved how soft they were.

So for FHE last night we went to SLC to Temple square to look at the lights. It was lots of fun watching Shanté get all excited about the lights and the water fountains! It wasn't that cold either! Shanté loved to see the temple and when we told her that's where Jesus lived she got all excited! Its so fun to watch her grow up and now start to understand things! She is just so stinkin cute!!

So this is are so awesome but very limited Christmas decorations! I think I'm the only one who has carried on the tradition of putting wrapping paper on the walls, I love it!! Jordan is starting to love it too, at least that's what I keep telling myself!

Once we are done having kids then we will get all coordinating stockings! Until then Jordan and I use the ones we grew up with and we made one for Shanté!

We started getting our Nativity and still need to add more to it!

So we just got back from WA for Thanksgiving and we thought by going there we would be getting away from the snow but nope, it snowed the whole time we were there. Shanté was kinda sick so we didn't take her out to play in it. This morning we woke up to SNOW and so I thought I would take Shanté outside to play in it for the first time! She loved it! She looks so cute in her snow outfit too!

So every year for Halloween Aunt Trisha does a party. This year Shanté went as Elmo and I went as Jordan. Jordan was suppose to dress up like me but refused because he didn't want to wear make-up! I know, what a party pooper! The party was lots of fun and I even won the prize for funniest costume. Shanté loved being Elmo! We look good don't we!!

So girly loves to dance! But her favorite song to dance to is Beyonce's, Single Ladies. She loves this song so much that on our way home from AZ we had to play it like 100 times for her to not throw a fit. She would get so mad every time the song would stop. You will see in the video what I mean. At the end of the video she noticed I had the camera and thought I was taking her picture so thats why she says "Cheese!" She is just so dang cute!!!

Trip to AZ

Oh my goodness our trip to AZ was so much fun!!! Just to warn you there are a lot of pictures. It started Wednesday morning driving to AZ at 5:00am. We stopped in Mesquite to get our eyes checked by my cousin and realized we left way to early for the time we were suppose to meet him. So we made some stops on the way to delay time getting there. This is a rocking chair that is in Beaver and we love stopping there to see it. This was about 6:30am and Shanté is still all smiles and thought the chair was so fun. We stopped in Mesa to see my mom and spend a little time with her before heading to Thatcher. Shanté loved riding the carousel with her. We were able to stay at my Grandma Ruth's house while there and that was a lot of fun as well. Shanté warmed up to her and my dad real quick and loved to play games with grandma. They took very good care of us while there and grandma even let us sleep in her bed cause she wanted Jordan to be able to fit on her bigger bed then the pull out couch bed. We got family pictures taken while there by Amber Halverson and she did so good. She posted one on facebook as a sneak peak and its so cute so I can't wait to get the rest of them. Shanté was such a little model the whole time and was all smiles! I will post the pics once we get them. It was so fun to see old friends and hang out with them. They were all so amazed at how tall Jordan was. We were able to go see Adysen while there and Adam cooked for us. So I had Casa a total of 3 times while there. I could have eaten it more then that though cause it so dang good! Its so fun to hang out with them. The dinner that I planned for our reunion went so good! Casa catered it for us and we had a really good turn out. And of course the food was amazing! Shanté got to go spend more time with Stephanie and Adysen cause Steph babysat for us while we were at the dinner. I loved seeing everyone from High School and spending time with them. The drive home seemed to take way longer then the drive there but Shanté did so good the whole time. Over all it was a pretty fun trip! I can't wait to go back!

We went to the Provo 4th of July parade with the rest of my siblings that were still in town from Levi's wedding. It was so fun to watch Shanté and her reactions to everything.

We went to Stadium of Fire for the 4th of July this year and it was so fun! We didn't take Shanté with us cause I'm sure she would have freaked out about the fireworks so my awesome in-laws watched her. Carrie Underwood was the main performer and she was so awesome. My amazing husband has officially graduated with his Associates degree! I am so proud of him and all he has done! He graduated with the highest of honors. He is such a smarty pants and has a 4.0GPA. I love him so much and am so proud of all the hard work he has done. He is currently doing his Bachelors and has a little less then a year for that. He is just so amazing and is an amazing designer!!!! I love you babe so much!!

Trip to Circleville!

So this year for my birthday and our anniversary we went on a free trip to Circleville that Jordan won at his work Christmas party. The trip over all wasn't too bad. We got there Friday night to have dinner and then thought we would get some junk food to just hang out in the hotel room cause this was the smallest town ever and there wasn't anything else to do. Everything was closed though and it was only 7:30, luckily the RV park had a little store and it was still open! Saturday we got a half day of ATV rentals and that was tons of fun. After we went riding we ate lunch at the local Cafe and the food was so good. We also got a couples massage and man that was so amazing. After our massages we decided to head back home cause we didn't feel like sleeping in a hotel when we could go home and be in our bed, and of course we missed girly a ton! All in all it was a great birthday and anniversary! Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes!

Mother's Day!

So Mother's day this year was amazing! My amazing hubby asked me what I wanted and I wanted a date night with him. So we got a babysitter and he took me to my favorite place, Red Robin, for dinner and then we went to a movie. Date Night, it was hilarious! I missed my baby girl but it was so nice to have a nice fun time with my hubby! Lately our schedule's have been so opposite with me in school and him working and everything so it was a much needed date. Saturday we were all over the place too but once we got home for the night and girly was in bed we turned our front room into a theater room and moved our couch so we could watch another movie on our Apple TV. Another fun time cuddling with my man! Sunday I got biscuits and gravy for breakfast before church and during church girly was actually good and we didn't have to take her out at all. For dinner we went to Jordan's parents house, as we do every Sunday, and had a really good dinner and played outside with girly. Jordan's parents gave me a box of See's candies and I loved it! I love being a mom so much, its the best job I have ever had! I love both my girls and I can't wait to have more kids to add to our family!

So I can't believe that my baby girl is now 1! This past year has gone by so fast. Shanté is now walking everywhere and is learning so much. Her first official word was daddy and now she says hi! She can also say Ady, there is a picture of Adysen hanging in her room and when she gets up in the morning or from naps she looks as the picture and waves and says "Hi Ady!" Every time I try to get her to say mommy she shakes her head no! I'm sure one day she will say it and then I'm sure she won't stop saying it! LOL! She loves to make a noise like a tiger as well as she can find her ear and mommy's nose. She is so tall that we had to get her a whole new wardrobe for the summer cause everything was too small. I know shocker right, that we could have a tall baby! I have loved every minute of this past year with girly, as I like to call her. She is the best baby ever and we have had so much fun together playing and learning. I do miss not having a little baby to cuddle with me so Jordan and I are ready to add to our family. We will let you know when that will be. We love Shanté so much and couldn't imagine life without her! She keeps us on our toes and is always entertaining! She wanted me to thank everyone for all the birthday wishes!!

So for Jordan's birthday we decided to take a little trip to Wendover. Shanté stayed with Nana and Papa so we could go! We stayed Thursday night and then came back Friday to have dinner with Jordan's family and to open presents. It was a lot of fun to have a nice trip just the two of us. We did miss girly a lot though.

Easter!

I loves Easter!! I love the traditions that Jordan and I are starting together! We went to Jordan's house Sunday morning because the Easter bunny came and left Shanté all kinds of eggs all over the house. He also left her a Easter basket. She was so fun to watch crawl around and find eggs. Because she doesn't eat candy yet, in her basket and eggs she had baby cereal treats and juice and some fun toys. She also got the cutest Easter dress but I don't have pictures of her in it yet. I got a Easter dress and Jordan got a Easter tie. We will be getting family pics in a couple weeks so you will see us in our Easter stuff then. Later that night we went to the Jone's egg hunt. Shanté had fun there too playing with cousins and finding eggs. All in all it was a fabulous day, especially since it was conference as well and I loved all the talks.

After the zoo I went to dinner with my Blackham girl cousins and Aunts! Grandma Blackham was there too. We went to eat dinner at PF Changs and it was so much fun. I love it when we can all get together and catch up! I was able to take Shanté with me and she was so fun and she loved to play with Angie. I love that I'm surrounded by so much family and that we can get together more often. I wish my sisters could have been there, it was so much fun!

11 months old!

My baby girl is 11 months old today! Only 1 more month and she will be 1! Its so crazy, time has gone by so fast! She is all over the place and getting close to walking. I can't believe it, she isn't so little anymore! I can't wait to celebrate her birthday and to buy her all kinds of fun stuff. She is so fun and I love playing with her all day! I love watching her learn and grow but I do miss it when she was first born and would cuddle with me for hours!This is her new favorite face to do! She gets all excited when she sees something new! So we got together with the Jones family, Jordan's mom's side, and had a Valentine's party. We met at Aunt Michelle's school and decorated bags, decorated sugar cookies, ate some pizza and had a good time. Shanté got to wear her cute Valentine's outfit and she looked so cute!

My little girl isn't so little anymore! She was getting way to big for her old baby car seat so we went and got her a new seat! She has met the requirements for a little while now to be able to turn her around and so we finally did. We wanted to wait until she was a year old but she is just way to tall. Shocker we know! LOL We put her in the new seat and I got a little choked up because she just looks like a little toddler now and not my little baby anymore. I love watching her grow but its kinda hard too. She loves her new seat though. She likes that she can see us better and look around. I love my girly!

So I was in the kitchen getting Shanté's lunch ready and she was of course at my feet following me around. Well I moved to go throw something away and she turned to follow but she slipped on the tile floor and fell forward and hit her face on the cupboard! At first I just thought she hit her forehead cause she has done that a couple times already but after I picked her up her mouth was bleeding a ton and I couldn't find where it was coming from. I got a towel to wipe off the blood and a couple minutes later I noticed she had this cute lil fat lip. Only a few minutes later she was just fine and smiling and back to getting into everything. I felt so bad! I don't like that she can now get hurt because she is crawling all over. My baby is so strong though!!

9 Months Old

My baby girl is 9 months old! I can't believe it! She is crawling everywhere and getting into everything! She can pull her self up onto things and walk around them! We went to the Dr. and she is now 21lbs and 29in tall, she is in the 95% for height and 70% for weight! I just can't believe her next appointment she will be a year old! She is so smart and its so fun to watch her figure things out, and she does! I love staying home with her and being able to watch her learn and grow! I love this little girl so much!!

Jordan has just graduated with his Associates Degree and I am so proud of him! I had a little get together for him to celebrate! He will go straight on to his Bachelors so he should be done with school before he's even 23! He is so amazing! He works full-time, takes care of me and Shanté, and goes to school! I'm so proud of you babe and love you so much!!

So my baby girl is now crawling! The first video is the first time she crawled and the second is the longest and farthest she crawled! The lighting isn't the best on the second one but you can still see her! I can't believe my little girl is getting so big! She is so active and won't even cuddle with me anymore! She has two more teeth coming in on top and she is getting too tall for her car seat! She still is an amazing baby, she takes the best naps and sleeps all through the night! I love that we can put her down at 8:00pm and she gets up at 9:00am! She is so good to me! My little baby girl is growing up! How do I make her stop? LoL

We were at my in-laws and sometimes to stop Shanté from getting into everything we like to put her in big tupperware bins to get her to hold still! Hehe!

So last night we went to Mapleton to play games with Adam and Casey and I put Shante to sleep on a bed and put pillows around her so she wouldn't roll off! Well it didn't work cause she figured out how to get over the pillows and fell on the floor! We heard her screaming and then found her little bump on her head! I felt so bad, this was her first big owie!

So last Christmas one of our families friend gave us this really cute BYU cheerleader outfit for Shante and now she finally fits in it! So we thought it was only appropriate for her to wear it since we were getting ready to watch the Vegas Bowl! This will be her only cheerleader outfit! LOL! She sure does look so stinkin cute in it! Work Party!

So I just wanted to tell you about Jordan's work party we went to last night! It was at the Marriott in Provo and it was so fancy! There were appetizers when we got there and drinks. I was able to meet all of Jordan's co-workers and made some friends with there wifes. We had an amazing dinner, with potatoes, chicken, steak, and vegetables and we had a chocolate moose pie for dessert. So good!!!! They gave away prizes before and after dinner. There were some really good prizes but Jordan won the best one of all! We got a vacation in Circleville, UT staying in a lodge for 3days 2nights, including a half day of fly fishing (we hope we can get out of that part), have half day rental of ATV's, and a couples massage. This isn't a trip we would normally plan to do for ourselves so we are totally excited to go. We are planning on going for my birthday and our anniversary in June. We also got signed CD's from Jon Schmidt, he was so amazing on the piano! I'm a total fan of his now!! All in all it was the best work Christmas party ever! We are very excited for the trip, we won't be taking Shante with us! I didn't take my camera but they did have a photographer there taking all kinds of pictures so maybe Jordan will get the one he took of just us then I can post it! Just wanted to share about our fun evening! Thanks!

So one of my favorite things about Christmas growing up was that my mom would decorate the the house by putting wrapping paper on the walls. I loved the way the house looked! I told Jordan about it and I even showed him home videos with it on the walls and he thought it was funny. I told him that once we have our own house I would love to do it. He just laughed at me and said "I don't think so!" Well this Christmas we won't be putting up a tree since we don't have a lot of room and we will be at his parents house anyways. So after a lot of begging he finally gave in and let me put some up on just one wall of our apartment. I love it so much! I had to take some pictures and of course blog about it! It is growing on Jordan and he is coming around to the fact that I will want to do it every year! LOL!!! Thanks MOM for the great idea!!

My baby girl is 6 months old! Time has gone by so fast! It seems like yesterday she was still in my belly making me miserable! Hehe! Shante is now 15lbs and she is 26 in. long! She is so tall and skinny! She is eating baby food now and is getting ready to crawl! She can sit up pretty good by herself also!!! For Halloween she is going to be a giraffe!! Shante's Nanna loves daisy's so we got her this dress and she wore it last Sunday for the first time so of course I had to get some pictures of her in it!! She is just adorable!!

Well just wanted to post a quick update on how we are doing! Jordan is doing good, he just started a new job! He finally got a job in graphic design and he loves it! Its really close to work so now I will get to see him for lunch! Its for a company called Exactrail! They make model trains! Its a small company but are well established and he is doing so good there! Shante is now eating cereals and its so cute! She is doing really good at it and loves it! She likes to hold my hand like its a bottle and she still sucks on the spoon! She is getting bigger or I should say taller! She is now rolling over and I think she is close to crawling! I am still the same! I get to stay home with Shante and I love it! We love to go for walks in the morning and she loves to watch TV with me all day! Hehe! Well I will post more later!!!!!

Levi's Football Game!

Shante and I drove down to Cedar with me mom for Levi's first football game! Jordan had to work and couldn't go but we missed him! It was a really good game and Levi did so good! Shante is starting to be scared of people she doesn't see very often so she tends to cry when Levi holds her so thats why he is holding her away from him so she won't see him! I know she loves her Uncle Levi though!!
